Raytec lights up nuke perimeter

Raytec, which manufactures CCTV illumination systems, has been chosen to supply CCTV lighting for a high security nuclear power plant in Forsmark, Sweden. The company will supply nearly 200 units of its RAYMAX 200 systems to provide 24-hour surveillance of the plant’s perimeter, as well as for a number of dome cameras within the grounds.

Forsmark is one of Sweden’s largest nuclear plants, and requires a very high level of security. Raytec systems were chosen, among other reasons, because LED technology is failproof. Siemens was signed on to handle installation and maintenance.
