Air Arabia exec wins top security certification

Imad Raad, manager of corporate security at Air Arabia, recently completed the certification for Aviation Security Professional Manager (AVSEC PMC) from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montréal. Raad was recently awarded the title by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) jointly with the International Centre for Aviation Management Education and Research (ICAMER).

The AVSEC PMC designation, currently awarded to only 130 people worldwide, is the most advanced aviation security programme in existence today, making it virtually the highest security designation anywhere. The four-month course covers many areas of the aviation business such as project management, legal aspects of aviation, finance and budgeting, design of airport security systems, human resources, security controls and screening at airports among other subjects.

The course is a requirement for all security post holders in the UAE.
