Guardian unveils ‘groundbreaking’ security system
Guardian Technologies International has developed what it calls a “groundbreaking” threat detection system with application in airport security and healthcare disease diagnosis. The company is preparing two systems PinPoint and Signature Mapping for international distribution. Signature Mapping is a healthcare technology that can detect tumors below the threshold of visual detection, enabling earlier treatment. The security technology, PinPoint, works in conjunction with current baggage x-ray scanners to detect, locate and identify explosives and other threats not readily detectable with the human eye.
At around the same time as the announcement was made, Guardian also revealed that it had received its first commercial contract for PinPoint. The order came from the National Bodyguard Association of Russia (NAST), a nationwide security organization charged with securing key Russian interests.
