...along with L-3 body scanner The L-3 Communications Security and Detection Systems subsidiary is also taking part in the DHS field demo series. L-3 will contribute to Phase Two of the demonstrations, which is designed to showcase technology for screening passengers for explosives. L-3's ProVision body screening portal will be put through its paces at the same Exchange Place PATH station in Jersey City.The ProVision system was developed by L-3 SafeView and detects weapons and other concealed items in as little as two seconds. The system uses advanced non-ionizing active millimeter wave (MMW) imaging technology to detect wire, liquid, ceramic, plastic and metal.
