Raytec launches infrared LED CCTV lighting specialists Raytec have launched a narrow-angle LED infrared illuminator designed to provide long-range infrared surveillance. The RAYMAX RM200-AI-06 provides a narrow 6-degree beam that reaches up to 1000 feet. The unit is designed for use with long-range CCTV security systems where there are large distances between cameras. A defense project in South America recently specified the Raytec unit for its long reach as well as its low maintenance profile. Raytec has recently published the "Complete Guide to CCTV Lighting," a reference book for installers and specifiers. It covers the main topics relevant to CCTV lighting and offers installation tips and an illumination quality test. The guide is available free of charge from Raytec.
