Nashville airport upgrades surveillance
Smyrna Airport, just outside of Nashville Kentucky, has recently installed a new networked video surveillance system. The system is built around Panasonic KX Series PTZ network cameras and Pelco analog cameras converted to digital via Vivotek Video servers, all managed by Milestone Xprotect Enterprise IP video surveillance software. The surveillance system has also been integrated with an access control system by Dynamark Security.
Security staff now have a single, full overview of the airport’s facilities, and the IP system is well positioned for future growth and upgrades. IP access means that the system can be monitored from anywhere, at any time, while the encrypted evidence gathered by the system has already been put to use by Smyrna and other authorities.
