Since its inception in 1989, Global Marketing Company Ltd., a privately owned publishing house, has experienced steady and rapid growth giving rise to five respected travel-related trade titles. This includes publications covering the passenger services and duty free trades.
A logical addition, in 2002, was TransSec. With the tragedies of 9/11 bringing the issue of transportation security to the forefront, TransSec is the only publication that targets all aspects of transportation security — land, sea and air — on an international level.
In its first three years, TransSec has partnered with leading industry events such as the UK Biometrics Exhibition, Maritime Security Expo USA, Air & Port Security Expo and AVSEC World. It has also cooperated with international associations including IATA and ICAO.
In 2005, TransSec has been “spreading its wings”. It has expanded to six bi-monthly issues and has extended its partnerships to include a number of new events and associations.

With its April-May 2006 issue, TransSec is proud to introduce Sentinel: Anti-terrorism in the Americas. Sentinel covers anti-terrorism and homeland security from all the angles: products, research, trends, expert analysis and news. Sentinel will be published four times in 2006 as an adjunct to TransSec, and will be published independently starting in 2007. The magazine is read by security professionals around the world, but most of the readership is located in North America as that region is the focus for the magazine.
Each issue of Sentinel features industry and technology news, new developments in homeland security, an event calendar and company profiles in addition to regular coverage of homeland security issues and trends in the Americas, with special emphasis on the U.S.
